"I am hopeful that within this week or the early part of next week there may be some resolution. We are still negotiating. But, I am hopeful that we will come to a resolution soon," said Minister Sears. "I think that we are considering to negotiate and the mediation of Bishop Ellis has been helpful and we are considering to exchange our information and see how we can reach an agreement on the issue of salaries." Negotiations between government representatives and Bahamas Union of Teachers executives fell through in June over the money proposal.
