GET BUZZED: 'Grey's' star gay; Smith’s son
Nearly six weeks after Anna Nicole Smiths son was found dead in her hospital room, the Playboy playmate finally buried him on Thursday in the Bahamas.Daniel Wayne Smith was buried on a private plot overlooking the waters of Lake Cunningham in New Providence, Bahamas. The young man reportedly was laid to rest wearing a trucker cap, t-shirt and blue jeans his favorite type of clothing according to Entertainment Tonight Online.
The private memorial service included about 25 guests, and Anna Nicole wore a black dress and pillbox hat. The program featured pictures of Daniel and his mother in happier times and included a message from her that read:
My dearest son Daniel, you were my rock, you were the only one that could keep me solid. Why God took you away from me I do not understand.
All-new Ford Mondeo to feature in 'Casino Royale'
The all-new Ford Mondeo makes its screen debut in the new James Bond movie 'Casino Royale', which opens in cinemas around the world from mid-November. These pictures are the first seen of the new model except for the Wagon (estate) version that was launched at the Paris Motor Show recently. There is a story behind the fact that cinema goers will be the first to see the new 2007 Ford Mondeo in action at the hands of the new James Bond, actor Daniel Craig. Although an Aston Martin remains James Bond's car of choice, the new Mondeo is the first car to appear in the film as Bond uses it to drive to a hotel after arriving in the Bahamas on the trail of a terrorist cell. "We're delighted to be part of this exciting new Bond project," said Stephen Odell, Ford of Europe vice president for marketing sales and service.Airport flooded again
A downpour of rain left puddles of water and mini roof leaks that greeted residents and visitors to The Bahamas as they entered the airport yesterday.What some may call a manic Monday with grey skies and steady rainfall that delayed traffic all over the island, others might have seen it as having a negative effect on tourism as many visitors to the country had to dodge being splashed by dirty water leaking from the roof of the Lynden Pindling International Airport. Onlookers observed tourists trying to photograph the unsightly state of the airport as they made their way outside of the arrival section of the airport.
"[Visitors] had their cameras out and were taking pictures of all the water in the airport," said an onlooker.
Acting General Manager of the Airport, Joseph Reckley said that airport authority officials were aware of this occurrence, but were unable to do anything about the leaks until the rain halted to the point where someone could go on top on the roof and see where the leaks were coming from.
Anna Nicole Smith To Be Evicted From Bahamas Home
Nassau, Bahamas (BANG) - In the latest headline controversy surrounding Anna Nicole Smith, the former Playboy Playmate was recently served papers to be evicted from her Bahamas home after failing to make due payments.The former model was served notice to leave the house where she has been staying in the Bahamas since the death of her son, Daniel, last month.
G. Ben Thompson, a Myrtle Beach developer who owes the property has given Anna Nicole until October 31 to vacate the home.
The notice was served on Friday by an attorney representing Thompson, who bought the house for $1 million in August. Thompson claims he was under the impression she would buy it.
He explained to People magazine, "She said it was a gift. I never said that. I don't have that kind of money.
